Don't Come Crying to Me

okay so a couple of things.

first i ignore rules of grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation, usually, so don't waste your precious time by pointing these things out. "Why yes, I do realize that blogger has a spell check. I didn't use it because it's friggin boring."

second i do try not to get serious or babble on about deep issues, though occasionally i will.

third if you can pick out the theme to all of my post titles you will maybe get a cookie or a nonsarcastic "way to go skippy" at the very least.

lastly, thanks for coming, who are you and why are you reading this? you must be bored.

i have seen the future and this is where it begins

so i have a weird sort of problem.

my 6 year old has decided that since he is going to be a rockstar he has to dress the part. right now his idol is justin furstenfeld from blue october and since justin has a mohawk and paints his finger nails, this is what my boy wishes to do.

i don't have a problem with that, i mean what can i say exactly anyway when this was me in high school.

i'm the short one of course

what i worry about is the other kids in school. he's a small kid and he's already had one bullying incident in school and he's only in kindergarten (some older kids accosted him in the bathroom, mama went ballistic, all is well now). so while i love that he is independent, free thinking, creative and unafraid to express himself and i don't want to squash that, i don't want other not so openminded kids squashing him.

so i came up with a compromise of sorts, he can wear nail polish at home but not at school and not outside to play. we'll see how that goes.

right now he's cleaning his play room in hopes of getting his first acoustic guitar today.
